Starting May 16th, we will begin to increase our patient appointment availability and be open for in-office visits. We are reopening to ensure that there are no additional delays in assessment and treatment of medical conditions such as skin cancers and other dermatology conditions that require attention.
During this time, we want you to know that we will be taking the necessary precautions to ensure both patient and staff safety due to COVID-19.
- Please call and reschedule your appointment if:
- *You have any of the following symptoms – fever, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, new loss of smell or taste, and/or gastrointestinal problems, including nausea, diarrhea, and vomiting.
- *Lived with, or had close contact with, someone in the last 14 days diagnosed with or displaying the symptoms of COVID-19.
- * You have traveled via airplane internationally or domestically in the last 14 days.
- *Access will be denied to any patients or staff that have experienced any of the above listed.
~We ask that patients come alone to their appointment when possible. Please have patient guests stay at home or in the car during the appointment.
~We ask that patients, and anyone accompanying a patient if needed, wear masks prior to entering the office and during the visit.
~In order to limit waiting room volume, we will not be using the waiting room at this time unless necessary and chairs will be placed 6 feet apart.
~When you arrive for your appointment, you can call the office to notify us that you are here and we will let you know when to enter the office, if you prefer waiting in your car.
~Once you enter the office, you will be immediately taken to a private exam room.
~All encounters (checking in, consultation/examination, checking out, payment) will take place in that private exam room to limit interaction with others as much as possible.
*Hand sanitizer is available for clinic use for patients and staff.
*All staff will be wearing masks. Staff will wear face shields when needed.
*Staff will be maintaining social distancing. Our staff will continue to limit contact, as well as practice frequent hand washing.
*The office will be sanitized frequently throughout the day including sites such as exam rooms, doorknobs, light switch plates, phones, and solid work surfaces. Contact areas will be immediately sanitized after each patient.
*In an effort to limit the number of people in the office at one time, we have decreased the number of staff members. In addition, patient appointments will be staggered to reduce exposure.
*We are still offering virtual, telemedicine visits through our HIPPA compliant system for those patients who do not need direct contact with the provider.
*You may get curbside pickup of skin care product orders. Our staff will have your order ready in advance and take payment over the phone to expedite your pickup and limit the number of patients in the clinic. A pickup time will be scheduled and a staff member will bring your order out upon your phone call that you have arrived.
Feel free to contact our office, 586-685-3285 if you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment.
