Richard Stone, M.D.
Dr. Richard A. Stone Is board certified in dermatology. He completed his undergraduate work at Western Michigan University and both his Medical School and residency at Wayne State University. He enjoys seeing new patients and continuing the relationship with the patients and families that have been coming to the practice through its sixty year history. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and has received numerous awards and recognitions for his work in the community.
In addition to serving his community Dr. Stone served his country as Major General in the United States Army Reserves. His assignments included serving as Deputy Surgeon General, service in Afghanistan as the Medical Task Force Commander, key assignments as Commander of Army Medical Training Command and various Combat Support Medical Units. As a Major General, Dr. Stone has lectured both locally and nationally on the, “War on Terror” and lectured at the Army War College where he was previously awarded a Masters Degree in Strategic Studies. Dr. Stone continue to be involved as a consultant in support of military and other federal healthcare systems.
Colleen Pingston, PA(C)
Colleen is a certified Physician Assistant with eight years of experience in dermatology. She received her undergraduate degree from Michigan State University and her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Wayne State University. Since her arrival at Stone Dermatology she has built a large following of patients. She enjoys practicing general, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology.
Colleen is also involved in the community both professionally and personally. She has served as Vice President of the Michigan Dermatology Physician Assistants and belongs to various national Physician Assistant Organizations. Her community service activities include Capuchin Soup Kitchen, Special Olympics, and health screenings.
Teri Custer, M.S., PA(C)
Teri has been a licensed Physician Assistant since 2007, specializing in both Dermatology and Gynecology. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan, a Master of Arts degree from Wayne State University and a Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant studies from the University of Detroit Mercy. She is board certified through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and the Michigan Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
Teri’s expertise in dermatology includes: teenage/adult acne, women’s skin care, alopecia, warts, molluscum, eczema, rashes, psoriasis, moles and skin cancer evaluations/skin exams. She has been trained, licensed and certified to examine, evaluate, treat and perform procedures. She also specializes in cosmetic dermatology including Botox®, Kybella®, fillers, lasers and sclerotherapy for spider veins. She is also fluent in Polish as a second language.
